The geisha jacket got finished and it looked lovely on her.
I'm working on a couple of afghans at once, one my son picked out the colors for that is really restful, a royal blue, mint green and white. That is being done in an argyle pattern.
Then I started one for my daughter, tried hunter green, copper, and gold. Awful!. Red Heart Super Saver colors are just too bright. Hurt my eyes to look at it. So frogged before I got very far. Now I have a bee in my bonnet to try to filet crochet her SCA badge. But of course, I don't have the right colors. So have to try to find what I need.
My son was just here for a weekend - always fun.
I have some kitchen tiles that were badly cracked, so I am taking them up and replacing them one at a time. Had some spares in the closet that don't really match, but don't look too bad. I was actually tripping on the cracked ones sometimes.

I finished the geisha jacket, and as I was sure it would be, was too big around. And also, back was too short. So I'm remaking it some. At the same time, I'm putting together the 24 squares I made with the stained glass mosaic pattern. Also working on an argyle spread in royal blue, ivory, and aqua that is for my son, and another I'm still looking for a pattern for for my oldest daughter. Have the yarn, but as yet, haven;t found the right pattern. She likes simple - V stitch or some such. I'm trying to find a pattern that is more open, so the finished one isn't too heavy to lift, unlike the first one I made her. And I'm making a fanny pack for me - my first time working with nylon thread. I sure wouldn't want a blouse of that stuff. Way too heavy.

I finished the Doris Chan sweater, and it was worth all the hair I pulled out doing it. I added a hood to it, because my head is always cold.
Now I am making a Geisha Jacket for a friend. It is being made with super bulky yarn and the original pattern was for size 4 yarn, so I am making one with some spare size 4, and then adapting the pattern, and making the one she wants. Keeps me off the streets, I can tell you.
She had bought 5 skeins of yarn, and I could see it was going to take about twice that, so I was going to order some more. My paypal wouldn't work, so I told her, and she said she would place the order in a few days. So I found another credit card and ordered more, and emailed her that I had. Only problem is that she had already ordered it also, so I'm going to be swimming in super bulky yarn

I am working on a sweater designed by Doris Chan, and I feel about as dense as box of rocks. I finally got the body of the sweater done after 10 or 12 false starts, a lot of tears of frustration, a modicum of cursing. Now, I'm on my 7th try at the sleeve. She has a Ravelry group and will answer questions about her patterns, but remember the box of rocks? Well, that's how I feel about ravelry. I cannot figure out how to post to the group to even ask a question, even assuming I knew what question to ask.
So back to it once more. I have tried writing it out step by step, diagramming it, and nothing seems to work.

long time away
First I spent 11 days in San Diego, and didn't want to advertise I was going. Just a few days before I left, I was at the gym working with my personal trainer, and twisted somehow as I sat down, and got a really bad "owie" in my left knee. Had to switch from using my cane to using the walker. Had it X-rayed and nothing was broken. Missed a lot of water aerobics, because I could not walk that far, even with the walker. Then, after I got back, among other things I had a crown removed that was decayed underneath. Haven't felt well - just keep adding "owies"

Haven't had any more vandalism. I filed a police report, and they came to the house to take the report, so that may have discouraged him (or her).
I was talking with a friend who finally disclosed she was gay, and was afraid I would reject her.
I told her that I didn't care if she preferred lemon cake or chocolate cake unless I was planning to share a cake with her. She seemed to like my response.

I finished my prairie star afghan, but until I figure out either where my camera went to, or how to operate the camera in my phone, there won't be any pictures.
I don't like my substitute for the "blue smoke", (Red Heart Classic in Gemstone) so when I finished it, I left the ends a few inches long so I can find them easily, and when the yarn finally comes, I'll probably go back to what it was supposed to be originally.
I have a bad (or good) habit of going back and "improving" on what I've done.
I remember years ago, when I was taking oil painting classes, the instructor sometimes took a picture away from me, and wouldn't give it back until I promised to leave it alone.
